What is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation, is a treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red or near-infrared light to increase blood circulation and to stimulate cellular activity and regeneration. In the context of hair restoration, red light therapy is primarily used to promote hair growth and reduce hair loss. Beyond restoring hair growth, red light therapy has been shown to help regenerate the skin, heal wounds, and reduce pain.
